I am informed, that the faction contacts no longer respond to evemails, is this true ? What is the purpose of declaring loyalty any more ? Is anything still being done with this ? It has seemed rather quiet in recent months.

several persons have said that the faction contacts don't seem to answer evemails anymore. At least one of them, is no longer reachable by evemail, and is mentioned in news stories as having been removed from office. But this hasn't been updated...

These NPCs were simply far too valuable to the storyline. They HAD to survive, otherwise the impact on the storyline would be unmanageable, for the relatively small storyline and events team to do things with. I.e. rewriting the Minmatar Republic...
